I was very excited last week to hear that the make-up fairies (I'm not sure who actually does it but they are always very nice people) were coming to update my Boots' Maybelline stand as this always means shiny new products to try out. I had seen these polishes in the deliveries we had been getting so I was excited to be able to try them out!
Maybelline's nail collection has had a massive re-vamp with a whole new range of Colour Show nail polishes. There are 40 new shades to try with a full range of colours (although my little store doesn't have loads :( ) and they are a bargain at £2.99 and currently buy one get one half price. Maybelline claim they are chip resistant, bold, gel like colours, and with the popularity of other gel like polishes this could make them a big seller.
I picked up Shock Wave, a metallic navy shade which claims to be from the limited edition collection, so limited edition I can't find it online! I wasn't impressed with the other shades in this collection, but this one looks really nice. I also picked up Coral Craze which I think will look gorgeous for summer and coral is a shade I have never really tried, so thought I'd go for something new. The full range (except the limited editions for some reason) is available here.
The brushes in these are are nice size making for easy application and two coats gives a good finish although I did find it hard to get it even. I am really impressed with the shine they give though. At £2.99 these are worth the money, and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more shades, there are loads of lovely colours to choose from.
I love this colour, it really is gorgeous and gives a lovely metallic shine.
I have seen some amazing collections from American bloggers, like the sequin collection, so I am hoping they will bring these out in the UK too.
What does everyone else think? Do you like the new range?
